With the joint collaboration of Arya Samaj, Kharghar and D.A.V.International School Kharghar, ‘Paryavaran Mahashuddhi Yagya' was organized in D.A.V International School, Kharghar for the fourth time with full enthusiasm and vigour.

The programme started with a beautiful bhajan by Ms.Ranjana Chatterjee, the music teacher of the school. She and her team and her team rendered the bhajan ‘Om ka Naam’ and Nar Nari Sab Prataha Shaam which created a holistic atmosphere.

Under the able guidance of Acharya Deepmala Shastri also the Sanskrit teacher of D.A.V International School and Pt.Vedmitra,  the Havan was conducted with full devotion and commitment.The entire programme was  presented by Mr.Kailash Dwivedi.

The Principal Madam of  D.A.V. International School and her entire team along with the  dignitaries presented sacred offerings and prayed for a pollution free beautiful environment on the occasion of Environment Day.

 Acharya Deepmala Shastri stressed on the importance of purifying and protecting the environment and  the advantages of Ayurvedic medicines.

The Honourable Principal Madam of D.A.V.International School, Ms.Seema Maindiratta gave an inspirational speech in which she laid down the need to protect the environment by conserving and using water economically, to stop misuse of electricity, importance of afforestation and the inititative taken by the school to sow seed balls.  She also expressed that the School has valued the importance of culture,traditions and value systems of India while also propagating modern system of education. The school’s initiative as Green Crusaders, its initiative to spread awareness regarding environmental protection, preventing distribution of chocolates in school  and prohibiting the usage of plastic.

The Vice President of Arya Samaj Shri Vijay Rajpal also delivered an inspirational speech wherein he laid down the various causes of environmental degradation and suggested remedies to combat this problem.

The ex students of D.A.V. had also expressed their views on the value systems they had attained from the school and how these values could be applied to their present life situation.

The programme concluded with the distribution of the holy prasad and the sacred wishes and blessings related to the nation’s progress and prosperity.
