EEDP 1 :
The New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India emphasizes the importance of play pedagogy and experiential learning in the early stages of education.
The implementation of play pedagogy at DAV School, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), focuses on fostering a more holistic, learner-centered, and experiential education. The NEP emphasizes the importance of experiential learning, creativity, and critical thinking, which play pedagogy naturally supports. In DAV School, this involves integrating activities like role-playing, simulations, arts, and hands-on projects into the curriculum, making learning enjoyable and engaging. This approach not only helps students understand concepts better but also nurtures essential life skills such as problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. By incorporating play into the learning process, teachers can cater to different learning styles and make education more inclusive. Additionally, play pedagogy aligns with the NEP's goal of reducing the rote learning burden, thus creating a more balanced and holistic academic experience for students.
EEDP 2 :
As per NEP 2020 and the guidelines received from DAVCMC, the pedagogy adopted for EEDP 2 is through experiential learning, play-way method, role-play and creative integrated approach. All the concepts are learnt through hands-on activities thereby making learning enjoyable and engaging for students. The classroom environment is interactive, child centric and lays stress upon the holistic development of the child.
