Freedom in the Mind,Faith in the words ,Pride in our souls,Lets salute the nation on this auspicious day of Independence. D.A.V International School, Kharghar, celebrated the 73rd Independence day of India on 15th August 2019 with great enthusiasm and respect.

To Commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest for the occasion,retired wing Commander of Indian Navy, Shri. S.H Kalawat and the Principal Ms Seema Maindiratta unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of  freedom .

The school choir set the pitch for the program with prayer songs and  patriotic poems. This was followed by the Investitures Ceremony.



"Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life". The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.

To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, D.A.V International School, Kharghar  celebrated its  investiture ceremony in the school on 15th August 2019.

The chief guest for the event was retired wing Commander S.H Kalawat. The chief guest was given a floral welcome by the school. The Investitures ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and the Principal which signifies removal of darkness followed by Ved Mantra and DAV Anthem.

Cultural programe consisted of Patriotic songs and Mashup dance by the school students which held everyone captivated. The Choir had a melodious and inspiring song which perfectly suited the event. The cultural performances inspired the students to overcome their challenges and never give up whatever the situation may be.

The Principal, Madam Seema Maindiratta welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. She appreciated and congratulated the newly formed council members. She advised them to be role models and extended a supporting hand to the smooth running of the school.  She reminded them that with position comes responsibilities towards themselves, their school and peers and struggles help one to achieve great heights.

The outgoing head boy and head girl shared their experiences and gratitude to the teachers and management in their speech.

The council members  march  with great pride, which brought forth the realization, that they had been selected to take up responsibilities and lead their school mates.
The council members were conferred with badges and sashes by Honorable Chief Guest Mr S.H Kalawat, Pincipal Madam Seema Maindiratta and by the House Head mistress . The students’ council took the pledge to hold the school motto of Loyalty, Truth and Honour in high esteem. Mr.S.H Kalawa congratulated them and admonished them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. He also exhorted them to uphold the values.Ms. Asha Papnani  proposed the vote of thanks. The national anthem marked the end of this glorious ceremony followed by distribution of sweats.
